What worked for me was using the code we get after redeeming the beta code from cod/betaredeem where it's written your battle.net or steam code is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Use this code in the redeem page for steam/battle.net client (same that we would use to redeem a game key let's say) and then the mw3 beta should launch. I didnt get that code.
