My dealer wants $650 for the 60k service which is oil change and spark plugs.. i did it myself for about ~$185 in parts (Oil, Filter, R8 Coils, plugs, and fuel filter) And someone else (from the same dealer) was quoted 700 for the DSG service. For the 80k service which is a regular service plus DSG they wanted $950 that person told me.
The VW manual has this semi-complicated method for replacing your DSG transmission fluid. #1 - remove the cover #2 - back out the “thumb stick” #3 - let all the fluid drain out #4 - let the transmission cool #5 - screw the “thumb stick” back in #6 - pump 6 quarts of transmission fluid through the “thumb stick” and close the valve to
I did the 40k service today. I TOTALLY zoned-out and forgot the free service ended at 36k. So I pick it up, $440 (USD) and NO DSG fluid change. 180 bucks in parts (4 filters and engine oil), 250 in labor. My local dealer told me that the 40K service would cost me $549 for a MANUAL xmission.

I just checked the service recommendations for my wife’s 2015 Golf TDI with 6 speed DSG and it says change fluid and filter every 60,000km. For my 2019 Golf R with 7 speed DSG it says every 120,000km. My manual also says every 60,000km for 6 speed DSG, although I don’t think any 2019 cars would have that.
This will get you to the proper fill level fast without guessing. 4. Reinstall drain plug, fill plastic filter housing with DSG fluid and pour into funnel on top of transmission. This will replace fluid pumped into filter housing without guessing at how much. 5.
According to reference source 1 and the pictures from the SSP product, the DSG mechatronics cover is replaced with one that has 2 bungs on it. This allows for the external (in the kit) to suck oil from the DSG and pump it through the auxillary cooler (in the kit) and then back into the mechatronic cover.
Fit the ATF pump pipe to the adaptor. Step 15: Fill the gearbox with seven litres of suitable DSG ATF. Step 16: Quickly remove the ATF adaptor and refit the centremost drain plug. NOTE: Fluid will escape during this step; make sure you have a suitable catch vessel positioned below. Step 17: Lower the vehicle.
If true, you will have to replace the flywheel. Nothing a DSG fluid service or VCDS mediated DSG adaptation and calibration can do about this. You need to have a qualified professional check this out, and it won't be cheap, unfortunately. Regarding the oil, my advice is to use a 505.01 spec oil of choice in 5w-30 or 5w-40.
